CargoBeamer is increasing its Calais–Perpignan service to six weekly roundtrips from June 2026, with daily departures from Monday to Saturday.

The increase has been introduced in two steps. A fifth weekly roundtrip was added in April 2026, while the sixth is scheduled to follow in June. The route will then become one of the main intermodal options for semi-trailers on the French north–south corridor.

The route runs between the CargoBeamer terminal in Calais and the Perpignan Saint Charles Conteneur Terminal, with a transit time of around 28 hours. Since December 2025, the connection has been operated together with Lineas as rail traction partner.

The service is open to both craneable and non-craneable semi-trailers, as well as refrigerated trailers, ADR and tank units, and containers.

The corridor also has a broader international role. From Calais, road hauliers can connect to the UK via the Eurotunnel and maritime services, while the southern end of the route gives access to flows linked to northern Spain, including the Greater Barcelona region.

According to CargoBeamer, each transported unit reduces CO₂ emissions by around 93%, equivalent to more than 1,100 kg of CO₂ compared with diesel road transport.

“We are very pleased with the sustainable growth we are seeing on the Calais–Perpignan route and have established CargoBeamer as one of the leading intermodal operators for semi-trailers and containers in France,” said Boris Timm, COO of CargoBeamer.

He added that the expansion to six weekly roundtrips strengthens CargoBeamer’s position in France, with the corridor linking the Spanish border, the Channel and onward UK flows.
