The launch of this terminal comes as part of Lemtrans’ broader strategy to create a network of container terminals across Ukraine.

Lemtrans Group has completed the first stage of construction and officially opened the Vinnytsia Container Terminal (KTV). The project, located in western Ukraine, features newly constructed railway infrastructure, a container yard with a capacity of up to 2,000 TEUs, and a 3,500-square-meter covered warehouse. The terminal spans 8 hectares and is designed to handle up to 30,000 TEUs per year.

The terminal has already received its first train, a cooperation between UZ CARGO POLAND and the Transport Service Center "Liski" of Ukrzaliznytsia (UZ). The first shipment, consisting of over 60 TEUs, establishes a regular freight link to the Polish port of Gdansk via the Container Terminal Mostyska. This service targets shippers looking to transport goods between Ukraine and Poland, with future routes to Odessa and additional destinations in Western Europe, including Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.

Lemtrans Group's investment in the terminal, totaling approximately $15 million, is aimed at increasing freight capacity and efficiency in the region. The terminal provides local businesses—both large and small—improved access to international logistics, which could play a role in boosting regional trade activity. The company has emphasized its collaboration with local authorities throughout the project's development, underscoring a shared focus on advancing the region’s economic infrastructure.

Despite ongoing challenges, such as the current conflict, Lemtrans has continued to expand its operations, citing the importance of maintaining Ukraine’s connectivity to global markets.
